My Fiance and I were planning a wedding for May 24th of this year, and became so frustrated in the planning we decided to call the traditional wedding off and fly to Las Vegas to get married by ourselves. It's more fitting of our personalities... So in an effort to make the family happy my fiance's parents are going to throw a reception/party a couple of weeks after we come home from the wedding/honeymoon in Vegas.
Now the question is, we need to send out some kind of announcement / invitaion within the next month, I need help with wording....  We would like it to be simple and cute / funny...I just need a general idea of what should be said, so I can come up with my own. |

what about something along the lines of.
We ran (Are running) away and got (to get) married on ...... at ........
Please come and celebrate after the honeymoon with a PARTY on ........... at .......... to celebrate this great fun event.
from .......... and ..........
