Wedding Colors
answered by Gayle ODonnell

Q.My wedding dress is a natural white not a bright white--I was hoping to have yellow as a co-ordinating colour for my attendants but i'm not sure if these colors will work together, if so what shade of yellow would you suggest?  If yellow won't work blue is my second choice-- what shade of blue would go best with the natural blue?

A. You can use yellow with natural white, as long as the yellow is vivid enough to stand on its own.  A pale yellow would not be as good, because it doesn't look enough different than the color of your dress.  Blue is nice too, and when you ask about the "natural blue" I assume you are talking about the color of the sky or water?   With either of those, a perwinkle blue (has a slight purple hint to it) is lovely, and also goes great with yellow, if you want to do that with your flowers.
